ABOUT US

MISSION

Turning the Factories Festival into a Learning Hub for Cultural Creation

The Festival of Factories Executive Committee is an organization composed of dispatched members from the Youth Chambers of Commerce in Tsubame and Sanjo cities, along with volunteer members from participating factories.

Our mission is to open up the factories, connecting makers, sellers, and fans, and fostering relationships among people who typically wouldn’t interact, all to address the challenges faced by local industries. Through the festival, we aim to think about the future of the region, learn together with our colleagues, supporting companies, and fans who visit the festival, and grow together.
By weaving together diverse perspectives on craftsmanship, we aspire to create a region that produces even more culturally enriched manufacturing through learning.

CHALLENGE

  • HIRAKU

    Open Factory

This year, we aim to have the largest Open Factory event post-COVID, with participation from 100 companies. Drawing from our past experiences and lessons learned, we are committed to creating a fun and engaging event for all the fans who visit.

  • MISERU

    Industry-Academia Collaboration Design Project

We have formed an industry-academia collaboration design team called “Prepress,” bringing together students studying design and local industries. This team will handle the design of promotional materials and novelty goods, supporting the creative aspects of the Festival of Factories. By incorporating the perspectives of the younger generation, we aim to enhance the event’s branding and invigorate local industries.

  • TSUNAGU

    Tsulbame-Sanjo Local Lab

A future town development talent cultivation program. By learning about the region’s history and deepening connections with individuals involved in manufacturing and town development, we aim to invigorate inner-community communication and nurture talent for Tsubame-Sanjo’s future. This year, five members are participating in the program.

  • MANABU

    Factory Meetings

In preparation for the event, we will hold three study sessions to support participating companies. These sessions will cover topics useful for the Open Factory event and future factory management. By learning and interacting together, companies with shared goals can not only enhance their individual skills but also improve the overall quality of the event.
